I currently have on my mini one, full L02 pack rom lohen,

im considering buying the DE-cat pipe for the janspeed manifold, and just curious to what

kind of gains would i get from this with it only being 58 quid ? easy to fit ?

and whats the noise level difference with this on ?

any one had any experience of one or has one ?

Decat will more than likely make a slight difference, possibly higher up in the rev range.

Noise will also increase. It wont be obscenely loud but just louder.

Im getting a manifold and decat in Feb anyway as well, dont care about the noise lol

haha, kool, to tell you the truth the manifold with high flow cat sounds amazing,

im just hoping with the de-cat pipe it just makes the same noise but a bit louder but no over the

top !, any one esle experienced the difference from manifold cat to de cat ?

just got my decat pipe fitted today !

sounds amazing, not realllyy loud, but louder and raspy,

bit more pick up mid range,

slight smell of petrol lingering tho ?

anyone know why ?

Well yeah you will smell petrol a lot now with a decat pipe as there is no cat reducing a lot of the combustion gases. Also yeah get a vid up or a sound clip!

Ive just sold one for £30 ....

This was on my MCS though, the reason the smell is that a CAT contains plutonioum that changes the harmful gases from toxic to safe IIRC without it, its just the pure gases.

I have no back seats and found no real gains for the need of it so i took it off at MOT time and sold it.
