I donīt know if this has been covered before...

Iīm still new to the site and am still searching and surfing here every day gathering as much info as possible.

Ok... from the pictures it looks like it... no way those cross spoke challenge wheels would stick out that far without spacers.

Anyone know how wide they are front and back? And what size slicks are on the wheels? Camber settings?

Any info and specs on the new 2009 Challenge Cup car in general would be highly apreciated. Maybe there is a thread already (I havnīt found it yet)

Thanks for any input.

Here the pics

Those back wheels look too far out for a serious race car.

Having ridden in one of these - it is certainly a "serious race car" - it could lap Brands Hatch Indy in no time - and has some great extras - like the hydralic jacks - brilliant innovation

most BTCC cars have hydraulic jacks. quite surprising when the cars raise themselves off the floor :P

I think the challenge wheels are 17x7.5 ET 35, hence the poke

I had a set of challenge rims on my clubman and they did not sit like that!

My serious race car comment was regarding the rear camber and the fact its so wide the car has to be high to clear the arch.

Berts running more camber than that!

I donīt believe that this wheel comes in 2 different sizes... the one that comes monted on the street JCW with 7x17 et 48 and then one for the challenge cars with 7.5x17 et 35?

Iīm still think the challenge car has spacers... just would like to know more about the car.

However if you are right how come I have never seen this wheel advertized in that 7.5x17 et 35 size?

I believe this has more to do with wheight distribuition and to help the rear rotate better on track then anything else... I could be wrong:hmph:

The reason you havnt seen the is becuase the wheels are challenge spec. just like the front splitter. meaning they are only sold to challenge teams and not the general public.
