Hi all,
New member here...
Over the weekend I bought SHMBO a Cooper Clubman in Pepper White with black roof/mirrors, Chili pack and 17" Pace spoke alloys, black bonnet stripes + a few other bits and pieces. Got a great deal from Scotthall Mini/BMW in Leeds and am due to collect at the end of next week - can't wait! :D
I have one quick question that I'm looking for advice on:
On the Mini online configurator it states that as standard Chili spec cars have "basic bluetooth & USB connection"... what does this mean? Will I be able to connect my phone via Bluetooth or will I need to buy additional kit/cradles to make this work? :puzzled:

The Blue Tooth will work with any blue tooth phone, just pair it as you would any other blutooth device and configure the OBC. The car speakers are used and it cuts out the radio when calling, but I have been unable to locate the exact position of the mic, but it works very well. The USB is for ipod and charges your ipod and displays the play list, etc, but you will need an additional 2 into one cable for it to work fully and this, as you might expect is not cheap. Between £50 and £80 presently. Your ipod will work on the jack plug cable only (couple of £ only) but it will not display your play list nor charge the ipod.

Hi Stephen - thanks for your reply... don't suppose you have the part code for the two in one cable? Sounds like we need this cable as SHMBO has an iPhone and would be great to charge it as well as play tracks.

You'll spend your time just looking at the lovely and answering questions.
Personally, I believe the Clubman has a beautiful rear end.

Sounds great mate :D
It may depend when your car was built as not totally sure but I think from 2009 the spec has changed a bit, so the configurator will be for cars being built now and not already built - if that makes sense :confused:
