I am a new proud 09 metalic midnight black clubman owner .I have had my club at the dealership a couple different times for small little issues for them to fix .Every time they give me an s model to drive first a regular hardtop and now a clubman s .I would have had a clubman s but didnt want it stripped and besides my price limit was 28k so my clubman has alot of other options in it i wouldnt trade .My problem is the s models are fun to drive and i have to get used to the lack of power every time i get mine back .I was wondering what things i could do to my clubman to make it just a little more peppy ? I was also wondering if anyone has ever put any aftermarket turbo or any other power adders on a regualr clubman and what were the results ? I do have the sport button on my auto transmission that peps it up a bit but still every time i drive the s model its so much more fun to drive .The wife promised the next model could be an S or mabye even a JCW model .Any help for a new clubman owner will be greatly appreciated .Thanks in advance .

Can someone shed some light on what is the main difference in the s model clubman and the non s model clubman engine ? I was thinking of trying to do a different filter or intake and mabye a performance chip on my non turbo clubman .Has anyone ever put a turbo off of an s model on a non s model .Im talking about 2006 and newer .

For the first generation MINI, the engine internals were different between the Cooper and Cooper S. Those of the latter were "beefed up" to handle higher horsepower. I imagine this may be the case for the second generation too.
