Anyone in Scotland, where did you buy your mini from? And/or have you had work (body/paint) work done to your car?

I know Stirling used to have a good name for having paint work done but don't know if it's the same story now!

Phenoix in Kirkcaldy.

Specialist Cars (VW) do their paint and are BMW approved and have heard good things.

What are you needing done and is it insurance and or self paying? Also where are you about - central belt?

Hi. Yes central belt. I'm getting a JCW kit painted by Perth but haven't had any work done from them before, bought the car from them. Bought my previous mini from Stirling and had kit done by them also 4 years ago

tbh unless it's insurance paid accident damage i'd find a reputable independent bodyshop and save some £££.

Iain Campbell in Kincardine did front end respray on mates Z3 recently and made top job.

You cant beat Grassicks of Perth for customer service etc., but really ! Dealers are so much more expensive than a local garage who will do just as good a job as dealers! Did somebody mention Pheonix Kirkcaldy ? they have to be the worst , wouldn't trust them to service my push bike ! Once put oil in my radiator and water in my steering pump whilst letting me drive away on a flat tyre after a winter service check!
