: Jcw mpg Mini_dan88 Jun 21st, 2009, 09:00 AM Hi,
This has probably been asked a million times before, but just wondering how much worse the JCW is on fuel compared to the standard MCS.
Whats the average mpg everyone is getting?
Dan PK5 Jun 21st, 2009, 09:07 AM Hi mini Dan, the difference is about 5mpg between the cars, depends how heavy footed you are. Also take in the cost of running both as different cars, different insurance. more expense for parts. yaphetlives Jun 21st, 2009, 09:21 AM check this out - 1stGen JCW MPG - totalMINI Forums (http://www.totalmini.com/forum/37-2001-2006-1st-generation/3902-1stgen-jcw-mpg.html) The Eggman Jun 21st, 2009, 09:01 PM Modified R53, local 21mpg, urban 30 ish, Mway around 40mpg. wibbly Jun 22nd, 2009, 12:25 PM Modified R53, local 21mpg, urban 30 ish, Mway around 40mpg.
Those are very good figures, I've owned a pre facelift Works car for almost 5 years now and average 23mpg around town and about 27 on a motorway run. Clog it and I can have it down to high teens  Keano Jun 22nd, 2009, 12:37 PM Depending on use you should be looking at around 30mpg as an average value. If your foot is heavy this can plummet!! When buying my JCW I budgeted for an average of 25mpg and over the course of the first 2 years of ownership the average was around the 34-35mpg... It all depends on how heavy your foot is... Help is appreciated :D BMcG Aug 2nd, 2009, 08:25 PM i seem to get 26mpg combined

S/C more than the T/C. jayxx83 Aug 25th, 2009, 10:28 PM think the jcw is better than normal s due to better breathing. only by an mpg or 2 though. Vickster Sep 6th, 2009, 09:42 PM I get 28mpg with super UL, pretty much all urban, 04 model...heavy right foot when the road opens up ;) Went up a smidge including an m'way run bob1 Sep 16th, 2009, 08:24 AM Computer says 28.5 on my GP Mike Edwards Sep 18th, 2009, 06:49 PM 29.7 average here (seriously thrashed) - I do have a GP intercooler though. youngsota Sep 30th, 2009, 03:17 AM When I am in San Juan, racing through traffic, I get about 11.5 -12 mpg. On the highway to Rincon, I can average 28-30 mpg.
Which driving do you think is more fun? Vickster Nov 1st, 2009, 02:18 PM Mine is now down to 27  | |
