hello all new member here and just picked up a 2002 mini cooper for the wife and after 3 days of ownership its fantastic BUT............
every third or fourth start it..... well....wont start until the selector is moved from park and back again then its fine. 20+ years ago i had an auto that had a similar problem and it was the starter inhibitor switch which i replaced.
now does this sound like the same thing, is it a common fault and is it easy to rectify??
tried the search function on the site but it brought up nothing
