As the title states, Would you to go to a speclised Mini workshop that could supply and fit not only performance parts but normal OEM parts? Do normal servicing and maitance work? With renosable rates. In the Brisbane area, as have notices there are no speclised Mini Garages in the Brisbane area other then dealerships.
Just putting it out there and floating some ideas about.

Sounds ideal. When I went to the dealership they weren't too happy with my air intake system, even though its perfectly fine.

Hey guys, just bought first mini - 2002 cooper and it has the typical drivers door problem - it will lock ok but not unlock. The mechanism electronically with the remote moves but not enough to lift the button on the door. Any tips or ideas on getting this repaired before I start using the various worldwide pics and suggestions?
Cheers

Great idea Putsy, but I think you would need to also do other makes that you are familiar with (B cough M cough) and maybe other european makes to make it worth your while.
Good luck.

Zappo is right - won't make a living in Brisbane off MINIs alone unfortunately.
There is an ex Motorline Mechanic who has gone out on his own just around the corner from my work. He is going gang-busters and seems to always have a heap of cars in his shop ... but he does MINI; BMW; Audi and VW and over 1/2 his business seems to be the VAG cars.

Quickbrick are you able to post the details of this mechanic. I have a quote from the dealer to fix a few things and I would like to get some more quotes, because the amount is too much for me to stomach.
