Hi guys,

This might sound daft but.....I have noticed that my engine on my one seems to get very hot. The oil gauge is showing in the centre of the gauge where it always has been but the engine gets so hot i cant even touch the ignition leads or if i try to put my hand on the top of the engine it is too hot to touch?

Is this normal?

I would imagine that this is normal, if you have the correct amout of coolant in there and the needle isnt moving then you should be fine.

That gauge you mentioned is the water temp gauge not oil temp.

Oil tempreture takes about another 20mins to get to the correct temp before you should be putting your foot down. I mean just in general there not just in your case :)
