Hi,

I've got a first generation Mini One 1.6. I had a (sort-of) race with my friend who's got the second gen Mini One 1.4. Although the race was close the whole way, I reckon he pegged me to the line (even though I don't really want to admit defeat).

So therefore, I'm looking to upgrade my car, I've been looking a lot into Bluefin, but I don't really want to spend too much money. Is it really worth the £230 or so that Superchips want for it, and how easy/difficult is it to install?

What other upgrades should I consider that would make a reasonable difference to my Mini?

Thanks in advance,
Adam

It is DEFINITELY worth it! Its incredibly easy to install. It goes in the OBD (OnBoard Diagnostics) port, which is found above the pedals (either between the brake and clutch or accelerator and brake - somewhere like that!). Plug it in, then it'll come up 'install bluefin' just press Y and it should do it.

What wheels have you got and what wheels did the gen 2 have? Wheels on minis vary in weight considerably and obviously have an effect on performance.

The bluefin is a great mod, removing the restrictor put on ones - basically you get a car which is faster than a cooper. Do it!

yes there are a lot of posts praising the Bluefin fitted on the One 1.6

seems to be good value for money and easy to install. ( also easy to remove )
