hey guys, im new to minis altogether and im looking into getting one since ive always wanted one. i found one with high mileage but still in really good shape for a decent price. i was wondering if anyone is from alberta, canada that knows how to rebuild these engines or swap a new one in and what the costs are related to such a project, or if its even worth it to do. thanks in advance

what is wrong with the old engine then? Assume there wouldn't be anything too radical going on in the bottom end... or else we'd all know about it. Rebuilding will be the same old story of replacing the shells, regrinding the crank journals, replacing the little ends, honing the cylinders and replacing the piston rings...
But really, if it don't need doing then why bother?

i used to live in Ft. Mcmurray not that that helps u now :p
but what is ur definition of high mileage?
have u done a compression and leak down test on the motor?
what makes u think it needs a rebuild?
