This is always a good annual Mini event at Castle Combe Race Circuit and if enough BMW MINI's attend this year it looks like there will be special track sessions available. :)

"The Mini celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2009 and whilst there will be many special events to commemorate this fabulous achievement few will probably match the excitement of the Castle Combe MiniWorld Action Day.

In the paddock area expect to see anything up to 80 Mini Clubs catering for just about every type and model of Mini ever made.

On the track there will be sessions for original Minis, New Minis with the Giant Mini Cruise at lunchtime open to all Owners’ Club Cars.

For track users, the day is divided into time zones, so friends can get together to book a particular time, or Club’s, provided they can muster 28 cars, can book an exclusive session."

The New MINI only session is 12 noon and so far nearly empty so great chance to practice without much traffic!
Display of the Mini Van, Countryman and Pick Up, celebrating their 50th Anniversary will see the oldest recorded roadworthy Countryman lining up alongside the latest version being launched tomorrow. The Countryman is currently in the news with the rumours that Kimi Raikkonen may be joining Kris Meeke in Rallying a MINI Countryman in the 2011 World Rally Championships.
