Hi All,

So, I have a 2004 Cabrio, and like so many others on here, my roof has broken and I've had the shock of my life being quoted 2500 EUR to fix it.

I know there are some Mini owners in Germany here - and I wondered if anyone hass had any expereince of this issue? I have no idea if the 5 year roof warranty applies here, and if Mini Germany are being as helpful on the goodwill front. On top of all this my German is rudimentary, so I'm having to do all negotitions via friends or in poor german. And a foreign single female in a dealeship... Well, you can imagine.

Any help very very warmly received...

Current exchange rate is about £1 to 1.2 EUR. It's a German Car, Mini Cooper, Aug 2004.

Not attached to the forces, just an ex-pat working over here with a German car.

what I would do is try and telephone customer services over here in uk, look it up on the website, at least that way they can answer you in your language, maybe advise you where you stand
