Decided to trade in my 04 Cooper for:

Cooper D Camden 50th Edition, Horizon Blue, white roof, sun protection glass, multi-function steering wheel, sport button, DAB radio.

Have gone to PCP so didn't spec too heavly, and the bells/whistles with the Camden are already nice.

Anticipated delivery 28th October, yowser :)

Any other Cooper D Camden or Mayfair purchaser out there?

Thanks PK, very excited about my second MINI, moving over to Diesel after five years with 1st Gen Cooper. I was very impressed with the D test drive, blew away my preconceptions about sluggish response of the diesel (thanks to the torque of the second gen D).

Now, when I get to a junction and stop, do I put the car into neutral so that the engine turns off (and saves diesel)? Then I press the clutch to start the engine again, correct?

yes, thats a good design, you can turn it off if you want to.

We have a Cooper S Camden. Went to the dealer on their special weekend and traded our 07 Cooper S for the showroom Camden there and then. Took delivery one week later. No extras as it is all there already. Fantastic car. Several people have stopped us in car parks just to look at it. Ours is the white silver with white roof. The new Harman Kardon system is great. You'll love it. Our third and best Mini so far.

Hi tr1, welcome and can't wait to see pics once you take delivery. Not wanting to burst your bubble but i am awaiting delivery of my MCD it has been delayed by two weeks the dealership is trying to blame my private reg trnsfer but i am not too sure. They told me four weeks.

Oh well the wait will be worth it and there is plenty on here to keep us occupied in the mean time!!

Cheers Tangman, I have the consolatin of driving my 04 Cooper for a few weeks so I will not be without 'MINI pleasure', even if Camden's arrival is slightly delayed. Please share pics of your new MCD when he/she arrives :) Cheers.

There is a Horizon Blue mini passes me each morning on my way to work nice colour choice ;)

What is the mission control like? (As demonstrated at silverstone). Is the voice annoying?

Its such a cool car and people are always looking at it, i have yet to drive passed another one lol x

Congrat's on the Camden - can't get the diesel version here but I saw the gas version at our local dealer here in silver white with black top and that 2-tone interior and the special wheels and it looked really really nice. If I had not needed the Clubbie I would have bought it I think.

Don't see too many of them on the road yet over here.

I bought a Mini Cooper D Auto Camden for my wife.

Specc'd with Folding mirrors, Sport Button, Sun protection glass, MF Steering wheel, in White silver, Black Roof, Graphite bonnet stripes (Didn't like the front wing decals). It also came with the Harmon Kardon radio system, Interior night lights that change colour (Standard I think), visibility pack and Advanced auto aircon plus a few other bits I cant remember (I think):).

I then designed a Decal for the Roof which the dealer did for nothing (then told me they were going to sell it to other owners as an option!:D) So I then got them to do me a reduced version for the boot badge (2" x 1.5")

She's had the car since mid November, Done 1600 miles in it and loves it to bits. She's always had estate cars and I was shocked when she wanted a MINI.

Got to say, once you get used to the auto (different entirely to my BMW) and the slightly noisy (still running in?) diesel engine it drives brilliantly. Just waiting for the fuel consumption to get better as well!
