hi guys

ive recently acquired a r52 cabrio sidewalk - the steering felt abit tight so i booked it in and had the pump changed as its still under warranty

but after a week i feel the steering is still very tight in comparison to my other cars...

is this normal? what else could be wrong?

any help/comments will be much appreciated

Q1. Is there the trademark "whine" coming from the engine bay when you turn the wheels?
Q2. When you say tight, I presume you mean hard to turn the wheel. Is this at speed or stopped?

its tight esp when parking (ie dry steering) but even at normal driving its much tighter as compared to my opel/astra

Hi, my Mini power steering doesn't assist as much as my other cars. I figured it was deliberately done because the steering is so responsive.......
