Hi

I'm just about to order a Mini, currently debating between Cooper S and Clubman Cooper S. I have a 3 1/2 year old. He still uses a buggy from time to time so I want to be able to fit a buggy in the car. Just wondered if anyone has tried the baby jogger city mini

Baby Jogger Mini Pushchair Black - Boots (http://www.boots.com/en/Baby-Jogger-Mini-Pushchair-Black_32164/?CAWELAID=334492185&cm_mmc=Shopping%20Engines-_-Google%20Base-_---_-Baby%20Jogger%20Mini%20Pushchair%20Black)

in a hatch or clubman and if fits in the boot? It looks fairly compact and advantage for me it holds babies up to 22.5kgs but most only go up to 15kg.

Any other opinions on if it is worth going for Cubman over hatch if you have a small child or does it not help hugely. reason i ask is I noticed whilst boot is deeper its not much wider and I had read the clubdoor is diffiult to open in car parks???

Will be able to tell you on Sat when I pick mine up as we have that buggy! My wife didn't think it woudl as the boot is soo tiny but the baby jogger does fold fairly compact!

I read her post as if she hadn't bought it - she said "it looks fairly compact" but on re-reading not sure if she meant the buggy or the boot ! I'll be answering the question on Saturday with luck anyway!

I haven't bought the car or the buggy yet. Basically i was trying to decide between clubman and hatch and if a buggy will fit is a major factor. My son is over 15kg and the problem is most buggies that do fit like the Zapp are not recommended for over 15kg children. But I saw the Baby Jogger can be used above that weight. I'd be interested to know if it does fit? My dealer has given me boot measurements now (56cm high with parcel shelf in, 84 cm at narrowest width and 40cm depth). From those I'm not sure baby jogger will fit not with parcel shelf in at least. But I think the Out n about nipper 360 will go with the wheels off.

Enjoy your new Mini!

Bit tricky if, as I suspected and she confirmed above, you don't have either ! Or did you mean me? I'm not bothered as the mini is a toy for me, we have an S-Max for family use.

Unfortunately not! I don't know if it is because we have the fleece on it (think it folds a bit more compact with the fleece off) but it was a real squeeze and felt like I was going to damage either the buggy or the window! Luckily our son won't be coming in the mini much.

Perhaps the UK version of the stroller is different than the US one. I live in the US and I've been searching for a new stroller for my little one now that she's outgrown the Graco infant car seat and snug rider stroller frame (which does fit in the boot of the MINI). I tested the Baby Jogger City Mini strollers at a store and when folded, it does fit in the boot nicely...the only problem was that because the wheels are a bit wide, I had to remove the parcel shelf (fold down covering that is there to conceal the contents in the hatch), but I don't think that will be a problem at all as you can just stash it behind the front seats when you are toting the stroller about. I have a 2006 MCS, so maybe the boot dimensions are different in the newer models, but in the test I did, you can definitely get the baby jogger city mini to fit in the boot.

The thing that might be an issue for you is getting the child into the car seat. I've heard it's much easier in a Clubman than the coupe and thus if all things are equal to you and you're set on getting a MINI, then perhaps the Clubman would make things a little easier on you and your child than the coupe. Also might want to consider what child seat you have. I'd suggest for that to go to the dealer with the child seat you currently have and test it out in the coupe vs. clubman.
