Hi, first post on here so be gentle. I have an 02 mini one that has a rumble from the front drivers side. It gets louder when turning left and quieter turning right or going around roundabouts. It also increases with road speed. Have had a look in a haynes manual that says it will 'tick' when turning if its a cv joint. It doesnt 'tick'. It also says the support bearing could cause the noise- my local bmw service department had never heard of a support bearing, but wanted £600 to do the cv joint. Can anyone help with a diagnosis please.

Sounds like wheel bearings on one of the front wheels. A lot less than £600.

:aargh:Cheers for that- drivers side rear wheel bearing shot.

I think this is my trouble too, the front left wheel in my case, gets louder turning right and eases off on a left hand bend.

I have a 2008 Clubman.......do you think this will be covered on warranty ??

I have done 30,000 miles.
