I took my 58 plate Cooper S in for the cam chain death rattle at 09.00 this morning.
It was quite a nice day this morning so I thought I would walk home.
The dealer stated we will ring as soon as we know what the problem is, guess what it gets to 16.00 and no phone call so I thought I'd better walk back as it takes about an hour.
When I get there they state they have'nt had time to do the required tests, but I need to bring it back as there is a possibility of the cam chain snapping if left for to long.
What a complete bunch of time wasters.

should of demanded that someone loooked at it and got hold of their courtesy car for the weekend. who knows when this will snap

Took car back on Wedensday and they have replaced the tensioner and guides and I got the car back 2 days later as promised. They also knew about the cold start rattle and the repair so hopefully thats it fixed.
