(A cold) Sat 12/12/09...........
Wanting to upgrade the R56 Cooper audio I've bought a f->r channel swap loom + opted to incorporate OEM A-pillar tweeter connectors into the loom as well. The new A-pillar plastics c/w extra OEM tweeters were supplied at the same time as the 'loom addition'

A fiddly job to take it all apart but 'do-able' so far. Even outside in the cold! The swapped speakers and temporarily connected A-pillar tweeters seem noticeably better (considering that the doors were open + most of the dash is hanging or on the floor) but I haven't been able to put it all back together yet 'cos I can't find an obvious way of getting the tweeter loom leads from the back of the audio unit, behind the dash, to the bottom of the A-pillars to connect to the tweeter 'push-fits'.............:frown:

I'm really stuck! Anybody already solved this problem, please?

(ps don't let me put you off this upgrade...someone 'in the know' must have solved it'.

I'd talk to Mikey the Mini mate. He's the Yoda in that department, and all the bits and pieces notwithstanding....

Thanks BoyScout.
I'd phoned him late on Sat + he was closed so I emailed him and posted the help msg anticipating no answer from Mike.
Later on he emailed me with comprehensive instructions so I was able to get it all back together on Sun. Really impressed!

Hi - if you've got any top tips please tell! Mike's given me some pointers (wire along the roof trim) but anything you can pass on to ease the pain would be appreciated. I want to spend as little time as possible in the cold :-)

Thanks, Rob

Hi Patchoulian.
Email said I had a PM from you so I answered it that way ...
It hasn't come up on here on the forum so let me know if you got it, please.
(One day I'll understand the process...)

Yes. I changed cars in May 2010.
Transferring the pillar speakers was easy enough but I was really pleased to find that Mikey's latest loom was situated in the passenger footwell instead of behind the radio.
No laying around in the damp + cold over the w/end with the garage full of bits of dashboard, it gave me the same feel-good factor as when I did it originally...
Happy new year everyone!
