We got the sensible little grey one which we love it.;)
its the 1.4 td mini 2003.. and we drove to albania in summer with it- showing of ;)
it keept us as cool as a cucamber! but now we had enough... it is still keeping us a cool as a cucamber!!!!!!!!! no hot air at all. minus 1 degrees today and my wife wa about to slap me ;)
couple of visits to local garages they have put it on the computer- one didnt bring nothing and one today said its the black unit right by the windscreen- top midle of the engine.
the one behind colant expansion tank..a black unit with a tube coming out of it like a duckt aluminium pipe and this unit always makes a slight noise when you got the ignition on
he called it the ''heater control '' is faulty etc but didnt want to do it and said go to bmw etc..
Will send to bmw blackheath which is closest although not very keen on them though wanted to hear if anyone had a similar problem?

went to bmw and the prices i d seen on newspaper where they compare dealers were still standing..150 per hour! didnt ask for the diagnosis how much but booked it anyway.
the part is called flow heater electrics.and cost 270 plus vat if that the problem.. so it seems if i need to get hot air it ll cost me about 500 quid .
how looked at breakers but none got a diesel one.. any one knows a part eller specialising at minis?
