Hey everyone.The parking sensors on my 05 mini convertible have stopped working! i had a mate look over it and he said it seems to be a problem with an electrical box under the bonnet..? They work some times on and off. When i start the engine they beep once even when the car isnt in reverse! If someone is in the car with it in reserve and i put my hand near the sensors they do beep but not when the cars moving!! Any help would be much appreciated

I'm currently having issues with mine as well. I think that I have a bad sensor.
Any tips for us with sensor issues?

coming to think of it mine only work when the sensor on the right hand side gets near to something!!

Mine don't at all. What I get is a high pitched whine when I put the car in reverse. Only sometimes do they work.

Sensors dont work on our recently purchased 2005 Cooper S cabrio. :(
I was hoping there would be an answer here to the problem.
They dont appear to make any noise at any time.
