Hi looking at buying a used Mini One, for about £6K.

What kind of packs should i look out for, is the Salt pack good? What does it contain?

Have a look at this thread:

http://www.mini2.com/forum/first-generation-mini-cooper/92170-what-comes-chilli-pepper-packs-2002-cooper.html

I have a 2003 ONE with a Salt Pack and 8-spoke alloy wheels.

I bought the car for my then-girlfriend in 2007 and kept the car when she left. I knew nothing about MINI's before we saw it and she pointed to it and said " I want that one".

To be honest, if I had the choice now I would have paid the extra for a Cooper - but that's just my opinion, and only because it says ONE on the back and not COOPER. Nothing to do with performance because I have a Bluefin modified ECU.

Cheers silverado.

I would love to have a cooper, however at 18 and having passed only a year ago i can't afford the insurance on a cooper. Companies want an extra £1000 on top of the insurance which just isn't orth it for me...

You can buy a cooper badge for £7 if it bothers you that much!!! Or do what 90% of ones do and debadge it!

Pepper pack or visiblity pack are the best

I have Mark 2 Mini ONE its my first car. Best car ever. Brought it brand new and the insurance was £2,100

To be honest doesnt really matter whats on it and the mark 1 bits are really cheap

Just get the car and have fun. Shame u missed the 50th anniversery celebration as i took my mini to the MAX on the silverstone circuit
