Hi All

Still looking for a GP. Some have had the flaking front bumper fixed and others haven't.

Now I have just called MINI and been told the manufacturers warraty is 3 years and the only other warranty is Anti corrosion for 6 years (covers rust etc).

Can anyone tell me if they ever had a paint warranty on the GP (as MINI tell me there isnt one) or are MINI fixing these flaking front bumpers out of good will?

I'd not worry about it. It happens to all of them and if you want a GP its something you'll have to put up with to be honest. If not get a normal r53 cooper s JCW which isn't much slower and doesn't have the paint issue.

Or .. wait for a bloke in a white van to drive into the back of you and shunt you into the car in front, so you get both bumpers replaced.

Bit drastic .. not entirely planned .. but means I won't have a flaky paint issue :-)

or negotiate the price down based on the flaky paint, and get it fixed by a bodyshop?
