The alternator light came on this morning on my Mini One D but when I checked the battery voltage, it appears that the alternator is charging OK(voltage when stopped 12V, voltage when running above idle 14V).

That battery is fine and has no trouble starting the engine. I took it to an auto electrician and when he tried it the light didnt come on at first - but then it did so it looks like a bad connection but I havent found it.

I am not too concerned because it IS changing but has anyone else had this problem?

I guess uve fixed it?
had the same with the wifes mini tuesday ended up being the regulator pack on the alternator.
