Hi guys,

Just after a quick bit of advice,

Was out driving yesterday when the warning light came on for a blown bulb.

Got home and checked. Its the drivers side rear brake light 'ring' in the cluster. The bottom half stays lit but the top half of the ring is dead.

Anyways, I can't find any info about whether bulbs blowing are included in warranty. If so, the dealer is on my way to work and I'll just call in.

If it's not covered, is this an easy fix and how easy is it to remove the rear cluster to just replace the bulb?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Well, problem solved

Called BMW - not a warrantied item unless the cluster/wiring is bad.

So, went to the unlikeliest of places for help - Halfords.

I know a few people slag them off, but they were great and sorted in less than 2 minutes for less than a fiver.

So, for anyone not technically gifted like me, bear them in mind for popped bulbs; they'll come out and charge £3.99 to replace the bulbs for you (on this occasion, they did it free as I'd bought the bulbs and looked lost.)

Ta!
