I'm purchasing one off of my cousin in a few weeks. What should I expect? I'm a Mini newbie. Tell me the pros and the cons that I'll experience and some tips if you have any please. Any information would be very much appreciated! :)

Expect to have a lot of fun. There are not many cons. The only con I can think of is that you have to be quick getting in and out of the car when it's raining as the water drips from the roof onto the seats when the door is open.
That's about it. A windbreaker and heated seats are good to have. Enjoy.

I heard the blind spot is bad? True or false?

Very true when the top is up. Unless it's raining I keep my top down and keep mittens, beanie and scarf in the car if I need it :D

Rear visibility isn't great with the roof up but you'll get used to it.
