Looks pretty cool in all black.

How much difference can you feel between this new one and the old JCW brace?

hi dan,
the only reason i changed from the jcw brace to the gtt one was because i got fed up polishing the alloy one,and then after i saw a black gtt one at himley show i decided it would be better for me,after fitting the gtt one i never thought that it would make that much difference when driving the car
but it made a big improvement over the jcw brace, the steering was very responsive, and cornering was also a big improvement.:hmph:

also did you get them clocks fitted yet? middle brace very easy. 4 bolts undo, put on and put bolts back on... simple... was fitting the clocks today , but i just won off ebay another set cheaply without the wires and sender oil unit. but i can remake (copy)my wires and able to sourse a sender unit from VDO.. so i will fit it soon.... Dont know what im doing with other set yet as dont know whether they are grey or silver yet (hence why im delaying fitting)... I'll probably fit spare clocks to my wifes mini (when i got her one) and she can have the JCW brace aswell...

any of you put this locktight stuff on the GTT bolts. no i didnt, i dont think there going to vibrate loose. and we need to be able to remove to gain access to filter etc... what i might do is mark them all with a dab of paint on the nut /thread and then i could see if any of them does work loose...:eek:

shaun when you fitted the middle brace did it go over the plastic undertray or did you have to cut any of the tray away? the reason i ask is because roland @GTT asked me about this when i spoke to him about fitting a middle brace to a GP,because they have never fitted one to a GP yet.

it can go under the plastic, but you have to take it off first as you only get to 2 off the bolts otherwise... you also could cut a 8"x3" out of the plastic for ease to get to the outer 2 bolts. it wouldnt look out of place or even be noticed if cut neat and straight.....
Also my other clocks arrived from Greece and guess what (they are grey .same colour as GP clocks) so they going to be fitted very soon.....
