I have just bought a 2009 (59) plate mini convertible, when the roof is up i have noticed that there is quite a big gap between the body of the car and the roof on either side of the tail gate and it does not sit 'flush' to the car. has anybody else had this, is it supposed to have a gap like that??

Is this on the chrome surround joint each side??

If so mine is the same.

Yep, its the same. Took it to the dealer and it turned out i hadn't clipped the roof down properly, check you have clipped the stalks back in place, i had left mine up.
