Hi All,

I know this topic has sort of been touched on. Just picked up a new 2010 Mini Cooper S Camden (135Kw) Post March Built. Couple of questions:

1. If I purchase a JCW kit (available from various sources) will my warranty be maintained if a licenced mechanic completes the installation (not BMW/MINI).

2. Will the power be more than 141kw taking into consideration it is not the 128kw motor? Will it be closer to 148kw i.e. (141-128=13kw, 135kw+13 = 148kw).

Thanks,

Steve.

In the US there's no warranty on OEM parts unless they're installed by a dealer. Check with your dealer to verify whether this is the case in your country.

I'd be concerned whether ECU remap included in the JCW Tuning Kit is appropriate for the "new" MCS engine.

Greetings all, I recently purdhased an APR 2010 build MINI Cooper S w/AT and considering having the dealer install the JCW upgrade kit. Current stated HP is about 172. I would really like to speak with anyone who has had this done to see what they think about it and how it is working for them. Jack Long 662-386-2727 or jvlongster@gmail.com
