Hello all
My 2002 cooper has developed a problem with the gearbox I suspect.
Recently on start up I have noticed a whirring sound which goes away when I press/engage the clutch. When driving I can hear a similiar sound but louder which is most noticeable in top gear/5th. It sounds similiar to the sound of a wheel bearing fault.
As the box is an leylands job could anyone advise on possible fault and give an indea of labour and parts costs.
All advice appreciated
