Hi all im Gav. I picked up this gen1 Cooper on the thursday of last week. Its in fine fettle apart from a few little bits that I might be posting for some advice!

Anyhows Id thought Id introduce myself and the new motor too!

we didnt like the freshly applies by the dealer stipes, so off they came

Then the exhaust "fell" off, seemed a shame to leave the new scorpion box in the garage all wrapped up

Then the cleaning, paint and polishing could begin the day after, first job was to get it up on stands and get the old wheels off and clean all the brakes up ready for a quick paint up

Cheers fella, A little update too, the K&N 57i arrived too, so that has been fitted too. Changed the whole sound of the car again, and the exhaust note has deepened off a fair bit too with a few miles on its back aswell!

Awesome job cleaning the brakes and painting!!! Makes the car look tons better... The exhaust is nice too!

Thanks for all the comments, Just got some spot lamps for it today too, so hopefully I will get those on at the weekend. I decided to go for bigger lamp as personally im not a fan of the little ones so I need to make up some brackets and a loom for them too.

Looks really nice , your hard work has paid off. Good luck with the spots , i know what you mean they look a little to small. I used to like it when the old mini's had a spot light for reverse too he he :biggrin:

Yeah the classic in the background is mine also, what you also cant see is the other classic in the garage that im building for hill climbing and sprinting.

MY PERSONAL OPINION IS YOU HAVE JUST MADE A MASSIVE ERROR AND YOU HAVE RUINED A GOOD LOOKING, IT LOOKS LIKE THE MUTATED FISH OFF THE SIMPSONS MOVIE.!

Nice job. Car looks and sounds good. That viper decal didn't suit the car. Those lights kinda the ruin the look of mini though (IMHO).
