hi there,

my mini 52reg Cooper has developed a strange rubbing noise when im traveling below 10mph and it gets much louder whe turning. I can only hear it at load speed though and not when reversing.
Its not the whining noise from the power steering pump though.

if any one knows what the problem is can they let me know please

Check your tyre pressures. Expect you have already done this but it`s the first point to check.

Is the rubbing in time with the turning of the wheels? and do you have run flat tyres? if so its the same problem i have on my 03 cooper, theres a few threads about it on the forum, i think taking the wheels off and putting them back on again was the soloution.

Hi guys, sorted the problem. I just swapped by front wheels for back wheels. Must be some thing to do with tyres.
