So I'm about to buy a Pepper White Mini JCW and thought it would be a wise move to join a Mini forum.

I once restored a '68 Mini and chose to get it resprayed in Pepper White/Black, so it only makes sense that I go with those colours on my new Mini!

So nice to meet you all and of course, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions along the way!

What is it with all the white JCWs lately? Tippymini is the second in clubMINI Vic in the last few months (and both with red number plates too...)

And last week I put the deposit down on a Pepper White/Black JCW. She arrives in December! And I went with white plates with black text.

Ironically enough the clutch in my current car gave up not long after I paid the deposit!

I'll give you a race - I've put a deposit on a new S and I'm being quoted November delivery but I'm expecting it's more like December. (And just to break with recent tradition, it's not white :D ).

Got the Cooper S yet? I've been given a January 11 delivery date, which is a little later than I was hoping, but still not too bad!

Yes, I picked it up in late November, to my pleasant surprise. Loving it! :D

Can't wait for mine to arrive! I'm not sure what I'm more excited about at the moment, the Mini arriving on January 11th, or my girlfriend coming home after a 3 week holiday on January 14th..

Well don't have the car yet! Hopefully tomorrow.. fingers crossed.

Been a bit of a nightmare getting everything sorted. When I ordered the car I was told I'd get black headlights, only to be told later that it's not possible. I had to change wheels because the one's I ordered weren't suitable for the JCW. But most of the frustration has come in the last few days. I was originally set to pick the car up yesterday, but due to work commitments I pushed it out to today.

But then yesterday my lease company advised that they still hadn't received the invoice for the car, and until they had it they couldn't write up my contract, and therefore couldn't pay for the car. Finally managed to get all that sorted only to find that car isn't ready yet anyway!

All in all pretty frustrating but I know it's gonna be worth it once I get behind the wheel tomorrow! (I hope!)

I got rain sensing wipers, and they've pretty much been on since I got the car!

Yeah haven't done a lot of driving just yet! About to head out for a quick spin tho.. planning a bit of a day trip tomorrow!

How did the trip go?

I must admit I'm still working out the combinations of stability control, electronic diff, soft suspension and rear sway bar - to know what I think of it and whether further tweaks are needed :)

Yeah it was great, girlfriend and I went for a bit of a drive around Mt Dandenong, ended up doing 450km over the whole weekend!

I haven't turned stability control off yet.. :o Last car was a WRX and switching to a fwd car with a better power to weigh ratio, I think I want to get used to it first before toying around without stability control!
