I am thinking of trading in my Sidewalk for a Countryman. I've gone into cycling in a big way, and obviously the Sidewalk is not very accommodating for cycles! Also the missus is getting broody so I'm thinking we'll be needing a bigger car at some point in the future, so might take the plunge now.

I quite like the looks of the Countryman (from photos anyway; I showed up at the 'sneak peek' a day too late at the dealers - doh!!), and for a similar price to my Sidewalk (with most add-ons) I could get a family-orientated MINI, which appeals to me. Obviously I would get the sunroof, to remind me of the roof-down times with my Sidewalk.

What do convertible owners make of the Countryman? Do you think it's a fair trade?

Sorry guys but I did decide to trade in my Sidewalk in favour of the Countryman, which I'm getting next week! My poor Sidewalk was collected last week by MINI Finance so will be passed into the MINI Cherished scheme soon I guess...It has served me well and hope it finds a good home to go to!
