: West Midlands Specialist?

Having recently acquired a 2004 Cooper S and having parted company with almost £500 already to Sytner in Birmingham, can anyone advise of a mini-specialist firm that would deal with servicing / upgrades / customising of a MK1 Cooper S...

I don't have anything against Sytner per se but having previously been an Alfa-driver, I used to find that the smaller local Alfa specialist was a) better and more knowledgeable and b) less inclined to do unnecessary work, operating on more of a long term client relationship than trying to make a fast buck!

I had previously heard of a firm in Bromsgrove but their website suggests they are no longer trading... I work in Birmingham / live in Solihull but don't mind reasonable travelling to get things done properly.

Many thanks in advance for any advice given...

PS - it may be me, but my car seems a little slow to pick up between 2500 - 3500 rpm but then goes like stink! Does this sound right with a supercharger - I don't want to ask any garage to cure a problem that doesn't exist!!!

The power delivery in mine is very linear, no flat spots but i do have the facelift version.
The very nature of a supercharger should give linear power delivery but doesnt sound like anything is wrong with your car, perhaps a simple remap would cure the issue?

check out lohen.co.uk

they are based in staffordshire and are the best company around for mini owners.
