hi mark

we own a jcw, and after having many different cars over the years the jcw has got to be the most fun vehicle yet, my wife uses it daily, but i love to drive it at weekends, loads of un, great road holding, power and head turning as well

the engine "pop" is just brilliant too :D

this one looks in really good condition, go for it, you wont regret it !!

drop us a line if there is anything you want to ask about the JCW, but be prepared, they are a tad thirsty !

Looks like a nice example - very well spec'd, relatively low mileage and tastefully modified.

I'm on my second JCW - a facelift first gen and my current second gen - and they're definitely to be recommended. :)

As already mentioned, the supercharged JCW is very thirsty on fuel though.

Well ive contacted the seller im on my way at 12.30 on the train from birmingham to wales so wish me luck .

The fuel part is not an issue as my wife does 50 miles a week and will be a 3rd car for us our daily runner is a picasso and my subaru is used as a track toy (for now any way) lolol ohhh i cant wait.

Many many thanks for your replies ill let you know how it goes.

Congrats - looks and sounds like you've found a little gem there. :D

As far as mods go - it depends how much you want to spend really, and what you want to achieve. If you're after more performance, 300bhp is possible, but at a cost... £6k+ last time I heard. 230-240bhp is quite easily achievable for a fair bit less though. What it is running with the current setup?

Companies like Performance Torque, Evolve and GT Tuning would be able to advise on the best course of action, based on the existing modifications. They can all be found within the sponsors section (http://www.mini2.com/forum/sponsors/) on here. :)

As far as cosmetic mods go - the previous owner seems to have done a nice job with the JCW kit, dechromed belt line and headlight surrounds etc. - although colour coding the plastic trim is a nice finishing touch which is well worth considering. :)

Cheers minicore, its running 200bhp at the minute i would like 240-250. inside and the outside styling we are more than happy with carbon dash front with flocked top part is cool.

Ill give the above a call monday many thanks for your advice ill keep u all posted.
