I took out a 2011 Cooper D today. Googling tells me that the car has LED rear lights but looking at them I thought not. I took the back covers off to find regular incandescent bulbs. I asked the dealer and he said they were LED but agreed with me on closer inspection. He could not explain. Does anyone here have information on the LED rear lights...?

the running rear lights are LED, the brake lights etc are normal bulbs. Take a look in the dark to see what I mean

They may look like LEDs when on but I took the bulbs out. There are three in the cluster, brake, indicator and side light... all incandescent bulbs.
