However, the rear carrier is not available in U.S., although car is "preped" for it. I would be more than willing to pay for shipping to U.S., etc. Mini U.S.A. has no idea when the carriers will be available in the U.S. Please let me know if I might be able to purchase one from you.

I note that the specs mention that the Countryman can tow, but once again, us folks in the Colonies have little information on this item. On my last Clubman, I spent USD $1,500 for a trailer hitch set up to install a bike carrier (I don't tow anything, just used the hitch for the bike carrier).

i just took delivery of my countryman as well in the USA.
per MINIUSA.COM, the countryman is not designed to tow and there is no hitch for it. i too wanted a hitch for a bike rack mount and for a small carrier box.

i've been told that neither are an option. even had a local custom hitch and trailer place look into it.

the rear rack is still available,it does hold two mountain bike and will fit your LHD car,
