Hey guys, basically I have a black mini, black roof.
It has silver wheels and has the silver grey V shap bonnet decal.

I want to respray the roof and mirrors another colour, other than black.

But I'm stumped at what colour to choose.
There is one mini, on the mini.com.au website that is kinda in the bottom left corner on an image that is totally black with a red roof, it's only visible when you try to customise online a john cooper works.

However when I paint my mini's roof in photoshop it doesn't look as good or something.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what colour roof I could paint a black mini's that would look really good? I can choose pretty much any colour with a paint code...

Yeah red does look pretty good imho. Im not sure how it will go with the silver stripe but the stripe can easily be changed.

would u know where i can get the red/black decal strips like on that mini?

i have a question regarding the colour of the red on the mini roof above.
over the years i've seen a few different reds, i've seen the mini chilli red and recently i've seen a mini with a deep red on it. can anyone advise what the reds are called and if there is more than one red over the years? thanks.

Chili Red - most common option, the same colour as the black and red R56 I posted earlier (I think).

Nightfire Red - more of a burn red in comparison to chili red

Solar Red - only available for a limited period in the gen 1s. Definitely my favourite. :)

On top of getting stripes like that you can also get a Vinyl for the roof in any color. It's a lot easier to do and way cheaper than paint.

Now we have a new Paint infused vinyl that you can get as well. This MINI was just wrapped yesterday using Synergy Green (2010 Camaro color) And a Pearl Blue Black for the roof.

Wow that looks pretty amazing, I like it. Is the vinyl applied in the door sills as well? What is a rough price estimate for a car wrap?

That green mini looks class... cant believe its all a wrap! Very interested to see what the prices are like...

Thanks. It is a wrap. We are using real automotive paint and clear coat on a 3m wrapping film. It can be wet sanded and Buffed like a real paint job. This is great stuff for changing the color of your roof without breaking your pocket book.

For ppl that live in the US I can wrap the car for $3500 plus what ever it cost to fly me out and house me for 3 days.

For you guys over seas. I'm not really sure how that would work. I can sell you vinyl and you can find a wrap professional out there or the same rule applies. Fly me out and house me for 3 days. :D

Is the vinyl applied in the door sills as well?

The sills can be wrapped but its really for of an external Aesthetic. Or interior parts.

if i was you get the roof and mirrors wrapped in red, paint the wheels black remove all other stripes start from there you can always add more and the good thing with wrapping if you really dont like it your not in to a respray
