May be an ECU remap? Evolve has got a remap for JCW I think. Might be for latest model.

I'm not sure if you can get 260bhp and if you can it won't be cheap ;)
Your next step with a JCW would probably be an exhaust header, cam and remap.

Yeah I did get told it would be expensive. I'm surprised a remap been mentioned so much as I assumed the jcw would have had one already?
What sort of bhp increase can I get from a remap? And has anyone got any links To sites for these mods as I haven't got a foggiest where to start (or look for) exhaust headers cams etc apologies for my iggnorance just not super clues up on the mechanical side of power mods

The JCW Works Kit does include a remap because it includes a slightly modified cylinder head and larger fuel injectors. Getting a custom remap of the standard kit wouldn't buy you much. If you fitted a cam then another remap would be required.

So would a cam be best place to start? Any ideas on British tuners who can help me out with my goals or places to order re parts from

Companies like Performance Torque, Evolve and GT Tuning would be able to advise on the best course of action. They can all be found within the sponsors section (http://www.mini2.com/forum/sponsors/) on here.

Assuming yours is a 210 JCW, do this:
- 1320 mini for a health check
- ITG filter and deflap mod for your JCW intake
- Janspeed exhaust manifold and sports cat
- JCW GP intercooler / GRS intercooler
- Newman cam
-550cc injectors + mynes tune
Depending on whether your car is currently healthy or not those mods could see you up around 260bhp - should be over 250bhp at least if your car is running healthy.
Next steps if you want more power would be; a 17% pulley, BVH or charger conversions / turbo conversions....
My JCW 210 + newman cam is running at around 230bhp...
Also, a good point is that perhaps you may feel you get more benefit from changing handling rather than more power - Im thinking lightweight wheels, non-runflats, coilovers, ARB, bushes etc etc...
Thats guessing that your car is otherwise a stock JCW with all OEM parts... ?
