Hi Guys

I have a 2003 mini cooper automatic.
I have noticed today that when Iam driving the mini seems to "jerk" for no reason, I was doing around 10-20 mph.
It hasnt done this before, but today it happened twice.
Also I have noticed starting the mini it seems somewhat unhappy to start??Like when you have a flat battery (you know hopefully what i mean?)
Please help :D

If you have a 2003 I believe what you have is a CVT not an automatic. CVTs do tend to get a "jerky" feel to them at a slow speed although it's usually somewhere around 8-10 mph not 10-20. It's a bit annoying, but not a big deal and there isn't much that can be done about it. It tends to fade over time. How long have you had the car?

oh well i know the feeling when driving very slow and its kinda like a kangaroo!!heehee.....but this was going a bit faster,whilst driving a sudden "jerky" feeling,yes your right a cvt sorry!
Had the car 3 months now :)

I wish I knew. If it keeps up I'd get the car checked out ASAP. If a CVT fails they can't be fixed, they have to be replaced and that is very expensive.
