I took my 2010 pre-facelift Mini Cooper to my bmw garage to get the grille changed to the Cooper S...
After about 1 hours of fitting I got told it does not fit because the 2 bonnets are different (Cooper S) has a air scope.. They also damaged my bumper trying to fit it so that was taken to the workshop to get painted!!!

Question:

1. Has anybody actually managed to fit a Cooper S grille to a Cooper?
2. Are the Clubman Cooper bonnet and bumper the same as a normal Cooper?

...dont know for sure if this is an s grille, but I fitted it myself without any major issues (did have to make little adjustments to grill)

This is my Mini which used to have the chrome grill...hope this helps

Doesn't JCW aero kit include black grills like cooper s?

Ask for a Cooper Aerogrill

The bonnet of a S and D are similar in shape, difference is the scope opening.
Both are higher in shape than the One/Cooper models because of the turbo in front of the engine. So there are three difference bottoms:
- one "standard" lower shape One/Cooper botton
- two with same higher shape but with/without scope

Cooper S grill fits in Cooper D grill opening, not in One/Cooper opening, visa versa
Aero (JCW) grill has a honey grate structure than the Cooper S grill, more sporty.
Aero grill are in two sizes; One/Cooper and Cooper S/D
