Hi there,
Just acquired a 2002 Mini Coooper and have decided to do a retrofit OBC option as per the guide here:
http://www.mini2.com/pdf/onboard_computer.pdf

I've noticed you have to have the OBC option "coded" in.
Is there a piece of software available for the aftermarket to allow users to code themselves? Like VAGCOM in the VW world?

Cheers
Grant

NavCoder is worth looking at. I just used it to enable Voice Control on my E46, I know it works with older MINIs too.

You can try it to see if it has the functions you want, then register it for $20 if you need it.

Does that use a "generic" OBD cable?
Doesn't look to do much other than tv and satnav stuff?

It plugs into the CD changer connector. The circuit for the interface is given in a help file within the program, it's a couple of transistors, five resistors and a diode.
