I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on a few things please!

I have just become the owner (and proudly so) of a Mini Cooper S registered MARCH 2006 which I think im correct in thinking it's classed as the MK1.

Ive bought it from a reputable car dealer however I have a friend who seems to know quite a bit about mini's and he's pointed out that I have the 'open shelf' type glove box and I dont have Xenon lights with the washers.

He seems to think that it should come as standard that I have the opening/closing glovebox and should have the xenon lights with washers...

So im not sure, is he correct? Or is the version of my Cooper S as standard??

Im a bit worried now that he's implying I have a duffer of a mini.....can somebody please help and put my mind at ease!!

give your local bmw dealership a call and they can tell u what was standard. i know that the glove box was an option on my cooper and wasn't added so i got it from chris at woodmans bmw there are adds all over the site for that bmw dealership and chris would be able to tell u about washers as well private msg me if ur stuck :O)

I think the items you refer are chilli pack items and therefore yours is probably a non chilli car. I wouldn't worry about it. Just enjoy the car. who needs a glovebox anyway. enjoy the fabulous noise it makes, its performance and don't think too much about mpg. You will love it.
