Hi guys, Im new to all this, im 19 and just bought a silver R53 2003 Cooper S. its in very very good condition as im only the second owner from new and previous to me was a woman who had looked after it. its got full bmw service history. Iv added a few liottle bits such as a 4 pod spot lamp kit, pipercross panel filter and an R56 JCW exhaust system, ( Due to the brackets breaking on the standard one)!!!. Just wondering what BHP i got? Cheers guys :).

It would really be hard to say. It could range from 115-145 maybe 163(?);). These are the variables over the years with a stock MCS 2002-2005? Unless you can do a compression test of the engine checking, insure no intake leaks for full capable boost from the Super charger than it is speculative at best?

You are in a very good position to get a base run before you do any modification to increase engine power. Most all of us never did this so we really have no idea what we started with?

I know its 163 standard i thought that adding the pipercross filter and JCW exhaust it might be about 170? just a rough guess, im new to all this lol
