: Sidelights as running lamps

Is there a way to hardwire the sidelights to a switched source when the ignition is on? I like the thought of DRL's but don't want the actual headlight beams on, and if I turn the headlight switch one click (so the sidelights are on) I don't want the rear and interior dash lamps on as well.

Or even better, can anyone find and figure out how to switch the trigger wire for the DRL's to the sidelights instead so that they may be switched on and off via the user profile...?

Any input or ideas would be much appreciated

It's probably a violation of the vehicle code ;)

If you have front foglights you could wire them into that switch quite easily I think.
