My 05 coopers s has never had the popping when i lift off the throttle, i thought all facelifts should do this as its the software dumping fuel that makes the popping noise? Now i'm worried somethings up with my car. The revs do seem to drop quite slowly.

I would get the engine's tune checked , sounds like its running too rich....
