Hey guys, I own a 2008 Mini Cooper S Sidewalk edition. The Sidewalk edition was the last 'hoorah!' of the R53 Mini's, and in my opinion, the classiest. While its not a JCW Mini, i have no regrets on my decision. Its gorgeous, British Racing Green with beautiful Tofee leather seats (yes, the rumors are true...they are a little bit uncomfortable) with black 17' wheels.
Today im taking my baby under the knife for the first time and deleting the resonator. The exhaust is different the the JCW exhaust because its 'stock' (Dont doubt the sound though :biggrin:). The resonator is put in a slightly different spot than the JCW but its the same idea, i know that this mod is mostly more popular with the JCW kits.
But does anyone have any tips/comments on straight-piped R53's? Ive been considering deleting the muffler after i delete the resonator but keeping the Cat, for a straight-piped from cat-back exhaust. Would LOVE any tips or stories, very interested in anything you guys have to say. Thanks!
