There has been a lot of talk about switchable remaps for the R56 MCS and the possibility of us tuning cars that are unable to visit us - due to distance.

We now have a solution.

The evolve-R.

This remote cable is one that you (the end user) keeps and can flash in files using your laptop with the very simple software pictures below:

This is again the exact same cable as what we use at HQ but it is locked to your ECU and costs Ģ150 in addition the the tuned map cost.

This is how it works:

- We send you the cable with software
- Install the programme on your laptop (Windows XP/Vista/7)
- Plug the cable into your USB port and then to your OBDII port
- Click the 'identify ECU' button
- Read the file by clicking on 'read ECU memory'
- Email us the file
- Await for the modified file to be sent back
- Click 'programme ECU memory' button and select the new file

The read/write time is less than 2 minutes.

You can then select the origional or the tuned software. Handy for dealer visits if your car is under warranty.

If for example, you currently have a stock car and ask for the stage 1 software and then later decide to add a downpipe and require a stage 2 remap then you use the same cable and you just purchase the relevant version from us and flash it in into the ECU.

In the near future we will also supply an upgraded software which will allow the software/cable to read/clear fault codes and also carry out datalogging or read live data.

This is very much the latest in OBDII flashing / data technology at a very competitive price.

We are just waiting for the packaging to be completed and will start taking orders in the next week or so.

Hi,

I live in South Africa, and have queried evolve about this, but yet no response.

I would like to purchase this, how could I proceed with the order?

It is now available for immediate dispatch. Currently we are only supporting MCS including JCW models. There are no plans to add other models at present.

SWEET! Awaiting delivery of a Mini Challenge race car. This would let me run in full remap on non-race days (bugger all restrictions on mods) and zap it back to stock JCW tune for circuit race days.

Might have to save up and look into this one.

If you donīt mind me asking, what are your mods... just remap or something more, cat delete, filter etc.?

Will this process of mapping add to the ECU counter everytime you change the map?? I.E so can be seen by a dealer how many times the ECU has been accessed?

My mods are cat delete,JCW tuning kit and stage 2 remap. Check out video after 5:50 how well it follows a E39 M5(400hp) in a straigth line:). Have now been testing this remap for 4-5000km including trackdays at Spa, Nurburgring, Monza and Imola and with no issues. Thanks Evolve!

None of our remaps have been spotted by the dealers - even if they have been left on there.

What difference does it make to a stock JCW (208bhp)?
