what rpm does the s/c kick in?

the price of fuel in ireland has gone off the charts
and im trying to save a bit!

its a june 2005 standard MCS (170bhp not 163bhp one)

It doesn't kick in. It isn't Vtec... The Supercharger works for you all the time...

There isn't a switch to turn if off, if that is what you are asking.

If your main concern is saving fuel then just drive accordingly. Any works undertaken to disable the supercharger are likely to heavily outweigh any savings you'll make in a high mpg figure.
